How a Piece Reaches the Shelf
1. Draft
The messy, exciting part. Nothing here has to be good yet — it just has to exist.
2. Editing
Read it again. Fix what’s confusing. Cut what’s boring. This is where good becomes great.
3. Published
It goes on the shelf, for real readers, forever. Only finished, polished work earns this.
The rule of the Press
Nothing is published until it’s been through all three stages. A shelf with one finished piece beats a shelf with ten unfinished ones.
